LUNCHTIME HELPERS NEEDED!!

Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be short of Mid-day Supervisors from Monday 14th July to Thursday 24th July and the whole of September, possibly running into October. This is in addition to the fact that we are already one MDSA short each Wednesday & Friday, which at the moment is being covered by Mrs Niewiadomski. This is a paid job with travel expenses. Please contact the school office if you are interested in helping out.

The School Office

Mrs Wells will not be in the Office on Friday 4th July and Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th July. Any messages left on the answering machine will be checked at every break time.

Reception Intake for September

Please check that you have the induction dates for you & your child in you diary! The dates are highlighted on the ‘Dates for your Diary’ over the page.

A very special thank you to all Year 5 & 6 children who have represented the school on various recent activities. These include the Marlborough Cricket Festival, the Drama Day, Top of the Form Quiz and The Science & Technology Day. Your behaviour was exemplary and, as ever, you were a credit to the school & your families.

Sports Evening

This will be held (weather permitting!) on July 17th at 6pm. Children will take their PE kit home from School & come back in their kit for 5.45pm ready for a prompt 6pm start.

Violin Assembly

On Wednesday 9th July at 2.30pm, Mrs Healey will lead our 3 current violinists in a short recital. This is an opportunity for anybody who is considering taking up the violin from September to come along & watch the experts! Mrs Healey will be available afterwards for an informal chat.

Parents, Staff & Governors Evening on 14th July 2006 at 7pm in the Hall

You are warmly invited to come along and meet Mrs Donni Blackwell who will be the new Headteacher from September. It is also an opportunity to meet the new Chair of Governors, Mr Stephen Martin and the members of the Governing Body from September. In addition, at this meeting the Governors will be unveiling the plans for building work which is due to start in September. Come along & see how your hard work at fundraising will be put to good use for the future of the school!

A taste of your Teacher for September!

On Monday 7th July, all the children will move into their class for September for the day. Class 3 parents will have the opportunity to meet with Mrs Claire Halsted and Mrs Donni Blackwell for an informal ‘Hello’ at 3.30pm in the mobile.

Garden Plans!

Mrs Stroud has kindly volunteered to coordinate a new look for the area outside the office & the tree bark area. Can you help with providing coloured emulsion & gloss paint or plywood (minimum size 18” square)? Mr Ockwell has kindly agreed to dig out the pond & restore it to its former glory. If you would like to get involved with these activities please let me, Mrs Stroud or Mr Ockwell know.

School Meal Price increase from September 2008

The cost of a meal (currently £1.90) will increase to £2.00. This is still very good value & we hope you will continue to use the service.
